|End Date||12th Dec 2017 4:00pm|
The Edinburgh Centre for Medical Anthropology (EdCMA) invites you to a webinar to learn about our Social Anthropology PhD programme, the application process, and our vibrant research community. EdCMA is a world leading academic unit dedicated to the anthropological study of the body, health, and medicine. Our faculty specialize in global health, international development, mental health, infectious disease, gender, and sexual and reproductive health, and we support cross-disciplinary discussions and research on health and health care.
Our PhD group, SoMA, organise student-led events and facilitate research collaboration, with regular symposiums, reading groups, and writing workshops. SoMA allows early-career scholars to develop their work in dialogue with fellow researchers in the growing field of medical anthropology.
If you are interested in learning more, please join Ian Harper (EdCMA Director), Lucy Lowe (EdCMA Deputy Director), and Lilian Kennedy (PhD candidate and SoMA rep), where we will be happy to answer your questions on proposal writing, preparing funding applications, and any aspects of our PhD programme and research community. Register for our webinar here.
