Invitation to Global Mental Health Stakeholder Event

Are you interested in global mental health, undertaking research in this area, or have clinical experience or expertise to offer?

Mental health has been recognised as a key component of global health and development in the 2016 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The University of Edinburgh Global Health Academy is holding an initial stakeholder event to bring together interested individuals and departments in the field of global mental health (e.g. social and political sciences, psychology, psychiatry, public health, social work, medical anthropology, nursing, informatics, law). The purpose of the event is to share existing experience, practice and research in the field and explore how to capacity build in this exciting area within the university. The envisaged outcome is the establishment of a cross-departmental network in global mental health to encourage research collaboration, grant writing and the development of teaching programmes.
