Call for Papers:
Advanced workshop for anthropological research on health, medicine and wellbeing Hosted by the Anthropology of Health Research Group (Durham) and the Centre for Medical Anthropology (Edinburgh) 22nd and 23rd March, Durham University
The workshop is designed to provide a supportive environment for postgraduate students to present ongoing and planned research; to explore issues in carrying out and supporting research in health-related topics; to develop plans to improve research training and support for students working on health and wellbeing; and to provide opportunities for networking between staff and students at the two institutions. More details will be circulated nearer the time, but please block out your calendars from 10.30am on 22nd to 2.30pm on 23rd March.
A key part of the workshop will be presentations by postgraduate students. This can include work in progress, proposed research, or more polished thesis chapters. We invite presentations from students at any stage of the research process, including MSc students, and we encourage students to interpret the terms ‘health’ and ‘medical anthropology’ in the broadest sense. Please send a title and short abstract no later than 24th February to firstname.lastname@example.org Supervisors – Please encourage your students to submit abstracts and present at this event!
