EdCMA welcomes Emilija Zabiliute
Emilija Zabiliute, a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Edinburgh Centre for Medical Anthropology, joins us this month.
Emilija Zabiliute is a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Edinburgh Centre for Medical Anthropology, Department of Anthropology, School of Social and Political Science. Her project explores relational and kin care among diabetes patients in Delhi, India.
Emilija Zabiliute’s PhD project was based at the University of Copenhagen, Centre for Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies. The project explored everyday lives, health ecologies and governmental health interventions among urban poor in Delhi, India. She has also worked on transition towards cashlessness and its effects on the urban poor in India. Her research interests include maternal and child health, relatedness, kinship, urban poverty, vulnerability, development, community health, gendered violence.
