The MAT Collective
New issue available!
24 April 2020
It’s been four months since the MAT collective based in the Edinburgh Centre for Medical Anthropology (EdCMA) took on the editorialship of the open-access journal Medicine Anthropology Theory (MAT). We are delighted to announce that MAT’s first issue to be published from its new institutional home here in Edinburgh is now live! You can access MAT’s new issue here.
Over the past months, much collaborative thought, effort and energy has been put into this transition, stablishing our ethos statement and a new International Advisory Board, undertaking editorial work processes, and the publication of the Spring issue.
The Collective aims to expand on the editors’ original global vision. The MAT collective’s ethos statement can be read here.
Call for submissions
MAT’s editorial team encourages submissions throughout the year. We welcome submissions to any of the journal’s new sections, including full academic articles, position pieces, photo essays, reviews, and field notes. See our author guidelines for full details.
