Professor Mark Nichter will deliver the Munro Lecture on 'Towards an Anthropology of Trust in Risk Society'.
Professor Mark Nichter is Regents' Professor and Professor of Anthropology, Public Health, Family Medicine at the University of Arizona. As a scholar activist he is concerned with demonstrating anthropology's potential problem solving, and as a medical anthropologist is actively engaged in critical public health. His extensive research and writings have covered South Asia especially South India, Southeast Asia especially Indonesia, Philippines and N.E. Thailand; and the USA. His most recent book is "Global Health: Why Cultural Perceptions, Social Representations, and Biopolitics Matter".
The Munro Lecture will take place on the 18th March.
