Social Anthropology: News

Tony Good wins Lucy Mair Medal

Professor Tony Good is this year's recipient of the RAI's Lucy Mair Medal for Applied Anthropology.

First awarded in 1998, the Royal Anthropological Institute's Lucy Mair Medal is intended to honour the application of anthropology to the relief of poverty and distress, and to the active recognition of human dignity. In Tony Good's case the Medal recognizes his long and distinguished contribution in the field of social development, and increasingly in recent years, to research and  practical engagement in asylum procedures.
