Lotte Hoek wins Bernard S. Cohn Prize

The Bernard S. Cohn Book Prize honors outstanding and innovative scholarship across discipline and country of specialization for a first single-authored monograph on South Asia, published during the preceding year.

Lotte Hoek’s book Cut-Pieces: Celluloid Obscenity and Popular Cinema in South Asia, has been awarded the prestigious Bernard S. Cohn Prize for First Book from Association for South Asian Studies. Many congratulations to Lotte for this well-deserved achievement!
