Eirini Papadaki is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2017-2020) on the European Research Council-funded project 'A Global Anthropology of Transforming Marriage' (AGATM) with PI Professor Janet Carsten. She will conduct ethnographic research in Greece (Athens) from August 2017.
She completed her PhD entitled “The politics of kinning: Adoption and the ethical economy of reproduction in modern Greece” at the University of Aegean in 2015. She was holding a two-year Marie-Currie postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Bremen in the department of Social Anthropology (2015-2017) about unwed mothers in postwar Greece and adoption reunions.
