PhD Title

An ethnographic study on the impact of type 2 diabetes among Pakistani and Indian migrants.

Research Interview

My PhD thesis explores the complex interrelation between migration and diabetes among Indian and Pakistani migrants living in Edinburgh. Through drawing on data collected during a sixteen months ethnographic investigation, the project aims to situate diabetes within informants’ daily context and emphasize the role that migration plays into their diabetes onset.
